Support Janice's Cancer Journey

My name is Janice Henson. I have a family history of cancer. So, when I began to wake up with migraines, pain and having enormous fatigue that was out of the normal, I knew I needed to get checked. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2024, one week before my 59th birthday. When I got my results, I was hesitant to tell my family because we had just gone through this with my husband, who had stage 4 rectal cancer 2 years prior.

I need surgery, but my insurance doesn't cover all of the expense. They won't even schedule the surgery until the deductible is paid. In addition, I have medical expenses for traveling to Houston for tests, doctor visits and gas. Houston is approximately 170 miles from where is live. Plus, we still have medical bills from my husband's cancer treatment.
