Support Janna Gard's Battle with Stage 4 Cancer

This is Janna Gard. To many, she is known as Mrs. Gard. Janna taught English at South Tahoe High School for 35 years and lived her life with her husband, Mike Gard, who we lost in January of 2022. Janna is a mother, grandmother to eight grandchildren, teacher, friend, mentor, and so much more.

This past month, Janna started experiencing pain in her stomach and was taken to the emergency room where we were told she has tumors all over her liver. After a long month of pleading for answers, we have been told that Janna has stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has spread to multiple parts of her body and is not curable. At this point in time, we are still waiting for more tests and more answers.

As difficult as it is, we are asking for help with the medical bills for the countless testing, scans, and any efforts we can do at this point to keep Janna more comfortable. Any money that is left over will be donated to literacy programs of Janna’s choice. We thank you so much for any help we can get and will continue to update on Janna’s progress as we find out more.
