Support Jasleen's Study Abroad Dream

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jasleen. I am a 22-year-old International Business student from the University of South Florida. I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan, and I am reaching out to you for support to make this dream a reality.

My Story:
From a young age, I have always been interested in doing Business. I always wanted to learn about new cultures and experiences which was why International business was perfect for me. Growing up in a small town in Bradenton, there were not really many opportunities to grow. I always wanted to see opportunities outside of this town. So the farthest I got was an opportunity to move to Tampa and enrolled into USF, which was about an hour away from home. I could not bear to go too far and going to study abroad was out the window because I still had my father who was sick and sadly who was an alcoholic for a long time and unfortunately passed away due to alcohol intoxication recently back in March. Due to events my parents were divorced and I was the oldest so whenever my dad had been hospitalized a few times, I always had to be there to make any decision. Which was the reason I couldn't be too far away. During the most recent hospitalization, he had gotten into a vegetative state, where he had other complications where surgery wouldn't be able to save him either, this sadly had left me with no choice but to put him in Hospice. During the time I was with him in his final months, I couldn't have been able to work to keep up with my finances and even to save to study abroad, which was a requirement to graduate in the field I am in. However, I do not regret missing work just because I was lucky to be with him until his final breath. Even though I am devastated that he is no longer here, this keeps me motivated to keep going and work towards my passions and goals, so that I can make him proud one day.

The costs associated with studying abroad are substantial. These include tuition, travel, accommodation, living expenses. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to save and apply for scholarships, I am still short of the funds needed. This is why I am reaching out to you for help.
