Support Jason, Alina, and Blaise Rhodes after the L.A. Fires
Donation protected
We are raising money to support our friends Jason and Alina Rhodes and their three-year-old daughter, Blaise. They lost their home to the Altadena fires.
In the pre-dawn hours of January 8, Jason and Alina awoke to monitor the Eaton Canyon fire that meteorologists said could potentially threaten their area. After going outside for one minute, the smoke and wind were so strong that Jason and Alina decided to evacuate immediately. They only had time to pack one shared suitcase for the three of them.
By 5am, the fires had consumed their home.
Jason and Alina are brilliant scientific minds working to answer some of the biggest questions in the universe. They are positive people with a wonderful sense of humor. Blaise is the cutest kid and always has a smile on her face. They will be OK in the long run.
However, they face unanticipated expenses given their immediate, urgent need to secure temporary housing, clothing, toys, and other essential items.
All funds raised will go directly to Jason and Alina to support their immediate needs as they navigate the aftermath of this unimaginable situation.
This GoFundMe was started and is being managed by Peter Kimball, Scott Anderson, Betsy (Packard) Kohl, and Eric Wills--friends of Jason’s from the Princeton track and field team.
