Please help support Jason Burden and his family

Hi my name is Jessica, I am Sara's best friend, a close family friend of Jason and Yaya to their 3 1/2 yr old son Alex. On Thursday Jason was home getting ready for bed and had to call the ambulance because he couldn't breathe laying down. He was transported to Rutland Hospital and then immediately flown to Dartmouth to be admitted to their cardiovascular critical care unit. He's currently in critical condition, in a medically induced coma and fighting for his life.

When he arrived to Dartmouth Friday at 3am he was experiencing multiple organ failure and severe heart failure, and we all were told to prepare for the worst. It's a miracle he made it through the night on Thuraday, and since then his condition has slowly progressed in a positive direction, but the future is still unknown. He is a fighter and he has a long road ahead of him and so does his family.

Sara has been staying over in Dartmouth and traveling back and forth from Rutland as much as she can, but there is no telling how long this will go on for. We are only 5 days into this long road and it's already becoming extremely hard on her emotionally and financially.

Jason is a great man, whose worked hard to support his family. He worked a full time job as an electrical apprentice and he was only months away from completing the electrical course at VTC to get his Journeymans license. He was so excited and proud of himself to be graduating at the top of his class, and we pray he'll still be able to do so in the future. Sara has always had Jason to support her with Alex and day to day life, and now she has to figure out how to get through this without him home. This is the hardest thing we've been through as a family, and we keep praying he'll be okay. Any support is appreciated to help Jason, Sara and Alex get through this difficult time.
