Support Jason Deane's Fight and Family

Flik Associate Jason Deane joined the FISD family as a sous chef at Tabor Academy in Aug 2006. Jason moved accounts was promoted to Executive Chef when we opened Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall in 2014.

After two years as Executive Chef Jason became the Chef Manager at Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall.

An incredible culinary talent, Jason elevated the program at CHCH exceeding client expectations. He is part of their community, working with student affinity groups, paying special attention to students with special allergy or diet concerns and has worked closely with the heads office and development in fund raising efforts for the school through some exciting catering events including a special event with Chef Jet Tila.

In February 2023, Jason suffered a stroke and we placed on LOA. Being the dedicated fighter that he is, he stayed close to his account, his staff and the CHCH Community. In September 2023, Jason returned to work. Excited to be back, Jason eagerly began to manage a full schedule. Unfortunately, In November 2023, Jason had a serious set-back. While driving, Jason suffered a seizure and was in an auto accident.

He has been placed back on LOA where he has had some improvement and some set backs.

To add to the challenges for himself and his family. Jason recently learned that his 17 year old son has been diagnosed cancer. Treatments are underway.
