Support Jason Ho's Family After Tragedy

Dear friends and family,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jason Ho, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Jason tragically lost his life to a stroke at the young age of 54 on March 3, 2025. He fought a lifetime's worth of heart complications and disorders ever since his first open heart surgery in 1992 — especially so after his two subsequent heart surgeries in 2015 and 2022. He had initially fought the stroke well, with a positive projected recovery after his brain surgery. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated due to his weakened heart, after all the stress and trauma of his previous surgeries and conditions caught up to him. Nevertheless, he put up a good fight and stayed resilient to the very end.
He was a loving husband and beloved father of two children. His daughters meant the world to him and he did everything in his power to provide for them. He loved spending whatever time he could with his children despite the limitations his disabilities imposed on him. From Disney World vacations when his heart was still strong, to dressing and styling the hair of his children with what he learned in cosmetology school, to the more low-down family outings to restaurants his daughters pestered him to go to, he did his best to put his beloved children first.
He was a man of few desires, but whatever he was interested in, he put great effort into. One of his favorite hobbies was to maintain his mini collection of sunglasses and watches. He did not have much in quantity, but made up in quality with his dedication to upkeep of the small parts and mechanisms that made up his sunglasses and watches. He also had a love for birds that came from the care he put into a pair of pet cockatiels. He did what he could so that Pickle and Peanut led the best lives they could.
However, gardening was by far his favorite hobby. Many hours of his days were spent working on the plants in the yards of our former family house, from flowers my mother picked out, to the Japanese maple tree we displayed in the front yard, to the many fruits, herbs, and spices that is usually used in Vietnamese delicacies, all of which were handpicked by him for the family to use in the meals my mother cooked for the house. With his green thumb, our yards were like greenhouses — even our apartment turned into a greenhouse with all the plants he took care of!
To honor Jason's memory and life, we are raising funds to help support his family going through this difficult time. Your donations will help cover funeral expenses. Thank you for your support in this difficult time. Jason will always be in our hearts.
With love and gratitude,
