Support for Jason Berger's Family

**UPDATE 7/26/24 6:50pm**

It is with a heavy heart that we update you that Jason passed away earlier today. He fought so hard and we love him so much. We have changed the fund to a memorial for additional expenses. We thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts - your prayers, support and love means more to us than you'll ever know.

On the night of 7/20, my brother-in-law Jason was in a horrific accident while driving home from Lake View, IA. He lost consciousness due to an undiagnosed condition, (which we now know is pulmonary hypertension). He sustained multiple, serious injuries and is currently on life support in Omaha, NE.

We are very grateful to the first responders who were the first on scene. They ensured Jason was taken to a nearby hospital as quickly as possible. He was then transported to a hospital in Sioux City, IA, before being transported to Omaha, NE.

Everything is on a week by week basis, according to the doctors. We don't quite know what the road ahead looks like just yet, but we do know Jason is in very good hands. The hospital staff have been amazing and we are so grateful to them for everything they've done up to this point and for everything they continue to do. They've been working around the clock to ensure he gets the best care possible. We ask that you please pray for the hospital staff and Jason as they work tirelessly to help him fight every day.

Jason is the best. He's hilarious, kind, giving and loves his family and friends with his whole heart. He's the best uncle to his nieces and nephews and is a great friend, brother, and son.
