Support Jason’s Fight to Kick Cancer’s @$$

Sometimes life can slap you in the face. On, July 13, 2023, Jason’s world was forever changed. While seeking treatment for back pain, Jason was thrown a curveball – his bloodwork revealed he was facing a new, fierce opponent: Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), a stubborn and likely life-long form of Leukemia. To add insult to injury, he was also diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, which is causing him severe pain and has a contradicting treatment to the treatment he is receiving for the leukemia.

Cancer and pain management have taken center stage in this vibrant 35-year-old’s life.

The shock has been palpable, this new reality unimaginable. Jason has been a rock for his wife, Courtney, through her own health scares and to be hit with these diagnoses has completely turned their world upside down.

Jason has continued to work throughout the constant pain and discomfort to maintain his health insurance benefits and help support his family, even when the pain is so bad he has to sleep propped up in bed. This just isn’t sustainable and we’d like to do anything we can to alleviate some of the treatment and cost of living expenses so that he can focus on beating this!

To know Jason is to love him. He has the biggest heart and loves nothing more than time with family and friends, hunting and fishing, and music. It's almost hard to believe that the vibrant soul facing this uphill battle is the same person who was spreading joy and pursuing his dreams just a short while ago.

The path ahead will be challenging and Jason’s journey to recovery won't be easy. He is going to need the love, support, and positive energy of his community – that's where we humbly ask for your support!

While some medical expenses are covered by his insurance, the extensive care and treatments he'll require come at a significant out of pocket cost.

Jason’s treatment plan involves chemotherapy, potentially a bone marrow transplant, as well as life-long testing and treatment. Medications, travel expenses, and the general cost of survival post-diagnosis all add up significantly.
