Support Javier Gradias' Funeral and Cremation Costs

Hello Everybody!

My name is Omar Pacheco and my family and I will have to soon say goodbye to my grandfather, Javier Gradias.

After a grueling, uphill battle with cirrhosis, the chronic disease has inevitably taken its toll. He’s spent the past month in hospice care and as I write this message, he drifts along his final moments into a better place.

My grandfather, similar to other grandfathers, was like a second father to my sisters and I.

I long for the days he spent teaching us to ride bikes, the summers we spent in the swimming pool, and the kids meals he bought us with the little money he had. My ears can only hear his rich, soulful voice as he sang along to classic Mexican Rock, drank his coffee, and ate cochitos. Words can hardly describe his role in our childhoods and the pain of finally needing to let go of him brings us great sorrow.

My family is not in any sort of position to pay for a funeral service and cremation, and it is in our deepest desires to be able to afford a service fitting for my grandfather.

Not only will a donation help pay for a funeral service, but a donation will ensure my family can say goodbye to my grandfather with the dignity and love he deserves.
