Jaxson's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On June 2, Jaxson went swimming and dove into the water not knowing the depth of the pool and hit his head on the bottom. He broke a bone in his neck causing a spinal cord injury and was expected to be underwater for about five minutes until one of his friends (Trevor Zapfe) pulled him out of the water. Jaxson was airlifted to Riley Children’s Hospital. He had his first surgery yesterday. As of right now, he doesn’t have any movement in his legs, and will have another surgery in a couple of weeks. Until then he will be on a ventilator.
He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Doctors are telling us that’s going to be many months for his recovery time. He will have to stay in the icu for a couple more weeks, then move off the icu floor, and then possibly to a rehab center within the hospital.
Please consider donating to help Jaxson and our family with travel and medical expenses. If you can’t afford to donate, please just keep Jaxson in your prayers.
