Support Jay Kohlman's College Journey

Hi, my name is Mary Green, and I work with Ozarka Spring Water. This year, in collaboration with Giddings HS legend (and BBQ icon) Tootsie Tomanetz, we sponsored the Tootsie Tomanetz scholarship, for $20,000. Ms. Tootsie and Giddings HS staff chose Jay Kohlman, and inspiring young man who has overcome significant hurdles to get where he is today. Last fall, Jay's father, Joe Kohlman, tragically passed away. Since then, Jay has been a self-supporting homeless minor. In addition to school, and varsity basketball, Jay has been working as many hours as possible at Dairy Queen to support himself. With the scholarship, Jay is headed to college to become a physical therapist. With the rising cost of college, the scholarship alone won't cover everything, so we thought that as more people heard about Jay's story, they might be willing to support him as well.
