Support Jay Olasa Pili's Family in Their Time of Loss

Dear friends and families,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the tragic news of the sudden passing of my dear brother-in-law, Jay Olasa Pili, who left us far too soon at the age of 41. Jay was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, whose presence touched many lives in meaningful ways.
Jay passed away on Thursday, August 22nd. Just two days prior, he experienced troubling symptoms that unfortunately turned out to be signs of something far more serious. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, they were unable to resuscitate him.
Jay had endured similar heartbreak earlier in life, losing both of his parents at a young age. He often spoke of his father as his inspiration, hoping to emulate his example as he became a father himself. Jay’s love for his 5-year-old daughter and his devotion to my sister were evident to all who knew him. He was known for his kindness, humor, honesty, support, generosity, and always willing to help friends and family in any way he could.
As the family’s primary provider, the sudden financial responsibilities—including medical bills, funeral costs, and the fear of losing their first home—are placing an immense burden on my sister during this already devastating time.
To support my sister and niece through this overwhelming period, we are reaching out to friends, family, and the community. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly towards covering these unexpected expenses and helping them find some stability and peace.
We deeply appreciate your kindness and generosity. Your thoughts, prayers, and support mean the world to us as we navigate this profound loss. Thank you for being a source of comfort and strength during this difficult time.
