It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Jaylene Ortiz. On November 8th, 2024, Jaylene Ortiz suffered a tragic medical event and passed away unexpectedly surrounded by friends and family. Jaylene is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her two children, Elias and Emi, her fiancé Ken, and by the countless family and friends whose lives she touched.
A close family member said beautifully, Jaylene did not tread lightly on this world. Everyday she strove to find a way of leaving the world a little better than she had woken up too. Whether that was imposing a life lesson on her children, strengthening her bond with Ken or having the deepest heart to heart with a loved one, she found a way to make a remarkable connection in every opportunity she found. She had an amazing ability to offer grace whether it was deserved or not. It was very difficult to upset her as long as the conversation was honest. She loved to share her thoughts and experiences and never let opinions deter a meaningful connection. She saw so much love in the world and wanted to make sure everyone got more than they deserved and then some.
Jaylene’s life will continue to influence us as we stumble around without her, trying to navigate this new world we are left with now. It seems like a dark road ahead of us but remember that Jay left the light on for you and it will always stay lit. Her legacy will forever be apart of all those who loved her, especially her two children that she cherished. All of the money collected will go to Jaylene's family to provide stability and ensure they are cared for after such an immense loss.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 1pm. Location will be the church Jaylene and her family attend, Motion Church South Hill. 16120 Meridian E, Puyallup, WA 98375. All are welcomed to attend that knew and had their lives touched by Jaylene in anyway.
