Help Jazz and Volunteers Rebuild Their Community
Hurricane Helena struck the community where Jazz and Freya live.
Aloha, Friends and Family,
First, I wish to thank everyone who has reached out with love and support. As you can imagine, this has been a very challenging time. As I write this, Jazz just got his power on after 18 days and finally has internet. If you are a parent reading this, you can imagine what it was like not able to communicate. Still, many people are without power and water.
Those who know Jazz know he stepped in immediately to help his community. The volunteer work does NOT stop. Jazz has worked non-stop nearly every day, and with winter around the corner, many people need firewood.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helena's devastating impact on Western North Carolina, a community-led relief effort emerged in Barnardsville. Volunteers, including Jazz, work tirelessly out of the old fire station to provide essential aid.
The Barnardsville Disaster Relief Distribution Hub No. 2 needs your support to continue their life-changing work:
Supplying food, water, and clothing
Providing first aid care and emotional support
Delivering firewood for warmth as winter approaches
On September 27, Tropical Storm Helene ravaged Barnardsville, leaving:
Homes isolated by downed trees and debris
Collapsed roads and bridges
Power, water, and internet outages (most still ongoing)
Despite state and federal responses, the community still needs help. Your donation will:
Fund essential supplies and materials
Support volunteer efforts
Ensure continued aid distribution
No amount is too small or too large. Every contribution will directly benefit Jazz and the volunteers' relief efforts.

Thank You to everyone who encouraged us to create this GoFundMe and shared it with friends and family. Your love and support mean the world.
Updates: We'll keep you posted on the progress and impact of your donations.
MAHALO and Big Love from the Big Island, where Volcanos go off, and storms are prevalent, but we have seen nothing that compares to Helena's devastation.
Contribute now and help Jazz and Barnardsville rebuild and keep their community warm and safe.
