Support Jeannie Shelton's Burn Recovery Journey
Donation protected
On Friday, November 15, 2024 while hanging out with a lifetime friend my mom - Jeannie Shelton tripped in a hole and fell straight into the bonfire. Her left hand, forearm and left side/back is where all of the burns are located. She was transported by ambulance Friday night to Lynchburg General and then was later transported to Chippenham Hospital in Richmond. Today November 17, 2024 she had a skin graft surgery where they used plastic “skin” and donor skin on her left forearm and left hand. We have been notified that she will need another surgery Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 where they will be taking skin from another part of her body and placing it on her forearm. She will have a really long road of healing and getting back to her normal day life. My sister (Karris Dryden) and I will be traveling back and forth to be with her during this time and we also do not know how long she will be here. We are currently wanting to raise money for gas to travel to and from Richmond and any bills my mom has so she doesn’t get behind.
