Support Jeff Behrman and Family

As many of you know, Jeff Behrman suffered a dissected aorta and associated stroke and was rushed by ambulance to Overlake Hospital on November 5.  Jeff underwent a risky 8-hour open heart surgery.  By the grace of God and the efforts of many skilled medical staff, Jeff survived.  Most who suffer this type of catastrophic medical event do not.  After additional complications from bleeding, Jeff underwent a second, 5-hour surgery. Again, he survived.   After 9 days in ICU, Jeff was moved to cardiac care for additional treatment.  Just this week he was transported to an intensive acute rehab facility at Evergreen Hospital.   

Jeff is undergoing extensive physical, occupational and neurological rehabilitation and is showing improvement, but has a long way to go before he can function independently.  After he returns home, he will continue to receive therapy, but will need further assistance.   Since it is imperative for Lisa to get back to work, Jeff's mother Carol will be his primary caretaker.

The medical bills for Jeff and family are mounting everyday.  Unfortunately, Jeff had been out of work for the past several months and in the midst of a career change.  The future is unclear as to when Jeff will be able to work again.   

The Behrman family truly appreciates the many offers of help and is incredibly  grateful for all the prayers from family and friends.  As you can imagine the stress on the Behrman family has been tremendous.  They are uncomfortable about this ask -  So, Bob and Cristina Dugoni, Lucy and Shane Macaulay, Indy and Chris Behrman, and Jodi and Brad Behrman are making this request on their behalf.   We all have many blessings in life and it is our hope that friends and family can contribute to this GoFundMe account to assist the Berhrmans through the next few months paying medical bills.
