Support Jennifer Smith's Journey to the DNC

Donation protected
Dear friends,

My name is Jennifer Smith, and I am trying to raise funds towards attending the DNC Convention next month as a proud member of the delegation from Kentucky.

We get no financial support from the State or local parties, and are responsible for all expenses, so I am hoping to lessen the load on my credit card, as my husband and I do not have a lot of extra money after paying the bills. However, I believe the democratic process should be available to all of us, not just the wealthy, so please consider helping me get there!

I am a proud lifetime Democrat that strives to live my life according to the values of our party, and try to always step up for our disenfranchised communities.

While I have always been a Democrat, I did not become active until after my first breast cancer diagnosis. In 2009, I went to Washington DC to lobby for Universal Health care and HB 676 under President Obama's health insurance task force.

Over the last 15 years, I have worked tirelessly for our party and our candidates, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Charles Booker and Andy Beshear, including 2012 and 2016, when I traveled to Cincinatti multiple times to campaign for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. I have literally knocked thousands of doors for our candidates.

In 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer again, which contributed to huge financial devastation at that time, and I have been working two jobs over the last 5 years to try to recover from that hit to our retirement hopes. We have been without air conditioning since 2015, but my attitude has always been that things can always be worse, and worse would be another 4 years with Trump in the Oval. Priorities.

Our Democracy is worth fighting for, and I am proud to stand up for Kentucky and our country against Trump, Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul, Jamie Comer, and Project 2025.

As an organizer, it has been a passion of mine to advocate for and give voice to underserved population. I am 66 years old, and have enjoyed the right to make my own health care decisions with my doctor over my entire reproductive live. As a woman, and a two time cancer survivor, I am absolutely committed to fighting for the the candidate that will fight for our right to govern our own bodies, and our access to health care, and that is Kamala Harris.

Thank you for any support that you can give me!
