Support Jennifer's Paris in the Rain Video Project

Hi Friends,

I've been working on memoir material, using songs I've written as jumping-off points. The first story is a 200 page account of my first relationship with a woman (that I will publish on Patreon).

It began in Junior High School and continued on a winding path into my 20s, and across the world to Paris and beyond. My song, Paris in the Rain, tells part of the story, and is one of the most personally meaningful songs I’ve written.

When I wrote it, I imagined making a music video of the track, and I’m thrilled to be starting that process.

Of course, it can't be filmed anywhere but Paris itself!

The plan is to go to Paris with the esteemed photographer/videographer Irene Young and shoot on the beautiful bridges, cobblestone streets and in other poignant locations.

I know many of you can relate to growing up gay in an earlier era, and all that entailed. I hope this video might reflect the journey many of us have taken and be relevant to young queer women as well.

I've had the incredible good fortune to work with Irene for decades, and this feels like the cherry on-top of our long friendship and collaboration. Irene has never been to Paris and I know she's going to create gorgeous images in the city of light.
