Support Jenny Eom in Honoring Her Mother

Dear friends and compassionate souls,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a sincere request for support for my dear friend, Sohyeon (Jenny) Eom. Jenny has faced an incredibly challenging journey over the past four years, marked by profound emotional and financial struggles. Her beloved mother, Monica Eunchu Kim, was diagnosed with a rare neurodegenerative disorder, Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) in 2020, a revelation that turned their world upside down. As if this wasn't enough, shortly after the diagnosis, Jenny’s stepfather left the family, leaving Jenny to shoulder the immense responsibility of caring for her mother and their two cherished dogs.

Jenny, a talented artist, has been the sole provider for her family, working tirelessly at multiple jobs to cover rent, living expenses, and her mother’s mounting medical bills. Her dedication and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring, but the nature of her artistic profession means that her income is often unpredictable and sporadic.

Tragically, on Sunday, August 11th, 2024, Jenny had to say goodbye to her mother. The loss has been devastating, and Jenny is now faced with the overwhelming task of arranging and funding the funeral and burial services at Forest Lawn, scheduled for August 28th, 2024. The financial burden of these arrangements is substantial, and it is my hope that we can come together to alleviate this stress so Jenny can focus on grieving and healing.

Jenny has shown incredible strength and love in caring for her mother, and now it is our turn to support her. By contributing to this campaign, you will help cover the costs of the funeral and provide Jenny with the peace of mind she so desperately needs during this difficult time.
