Support Jenny’s Medical Journey

I am Melissa Fairhurst organizing this fundraiser for Jennifer Huckvale, with whom this year marks 20 years of friendship. It is my honor to fundraise for someone I know to be amazing inside and out.

Jenny went to the emergency room twice in the last month to evaluate major migraines and upon her second visit and subsequent scan she was alerted to the presence of a brain tumor. She was brought to Boston to work with top level neurosurgeons to determine the diagnosis and treatment and to receive additional scans and biopsies on the tumor.

She remains in the hospital and is limited to rest and recovery as she prepares for the unknown next steps. All funds go toward covering Jenny’s current expenses so she does not need to worry about anything other than her comfort and recovery.

The ultimate diagnosis, treatment, and financial burden is yet unknown, and we expect to reevaluate the goal amount at a later date.

For those that don’t know Jenny: She grew up in Camas Washington in a family of 5 children. She is affectionately called “Jenny Bee” and “Nova Bee” by those closest to her. She attended Hayes Freedom High School, an alternative school from which she graduated in 2008 as valedictorian, also performing the National Anthem for the ceremony. Jenny has always been both talented and intelligent as well as family driven, always being present for her nieces, nephews, siblings and parents. Most recently she has been working front desk scheduling at the community health center in Falmouth, MA. This unexpected working hiatus is going to have an additional impact that we can work together to relieve during this time. Thank you in advance for donating to Jenny!
