Support Jen's Journey to Healing from CRPS
Donation protected
On April 30th, my best friend Jen Jousset fell and broke her ankle. What seemed like a straightforward injury quickly turned into a nightmare. Despite the break healing, her pain kept worsening. On June 1st, she was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
CRPS is a severely disabling condition that usually affects the limbs after injury or surgery. Its main symptoms include severe pain, swelling, loss of range of motion, temperature changes, and changes in the skin. The medication doctors want jen to take could be required every other month for the rest of her life, comes with serious side effects, and isn’t a cure.
Jen is seeking funds to go to a Holistic Centered Treatment facility for CRPS in Idaho. She has found a community of people suffering from CRPS, and those who have been treated there have had the most success in their recovery.
As many of you know, on June 7th, Madelyn gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Emmett. Jen is terrified that she will not be able to play, and dance with her Grandson or keep up with Carter, who’s always off on an adventure. Walking is impossible without crutches, and the CRPS is spreading. CRPS can spread to your organs causing her to be wheelchair bound.
The treatment center costs $12,000, not including housing and flights. While covering the entire cost would be amazing, any amount you can contribute will help Jen get back on her feet and help her breathe a little. Jen is an incredibly giving and kind person who has opened her home to others, given her last dollar to those in need, and provided emotional support to everyone she loves (and even to strangers).
Let’s help Jen enjoy her grandbaby and, hopefully, get back on a horse to ride with me someday. Every donation counts, no matter how small. Thank you for your support!
