Support Jeremy's Fight Against Brain Cancer

My name is Dr. Seth Oberschlake, a veterinarian and owner of Heritage Animal Hospital. On behalf of myself and all of our staff, we are starting a GoFundMe for one of our long-standing employees Jeremy.

Jeremy has been an invaluable part of the Heritage Animal Hospital family since September 2010. With his warm smile, compassionate nature, and unwavering dedication, he's touched the lives of countless pets and their owners over the years. As a veterinary technician assistant, Jeremy has always gone above and beyond to ensure the well-being of every client and patient that walks through our doors.

In March, Jeremy received devastating news after suddenly experiencing debilitating headaches, he was diagnosed with brain cancer. The news shook Jeremy, his family and friends and our entire clinic to its core. Despite the shock, Jeremy faced this challenge with remarkable courage and resilience. He underwent his first brain surgery on March 11th and after waiting a month for the pathology report, got more disheartening news that the tumor had characteristics of a high grade astrocytoma, requiring additional surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.

On April 26th, he is scheduled to undergo a second surgery in hopes of removing more of the cancerous tissue. This will be the second major phase of his treatment. Following the procedure, Jeremy will likely need to undergo rigorous rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, each presenting its own set of challenges.

Throughout this difficult time, Jeremy's wife, Julia, has been a beacon of unwavering support. Her love, strength, and dedication to Jeremy's well-being have been nothing short of extraordinary. Julia has been by Jeremy's side every step of the way, offering comfort, encouragement, and reassurance during his darkest moments.

As Jeremy's colleagues and friends, we are determined to stand by his side every step of the way. However, we recognize that the road ahead will be long and arduous, both emotionally and financially. Jeremy has been out of work since March, and his ability to return to work remains uncertain. The financial strain of medical bills and living expenses weighs heavily on him and his family. Julia has also had to miss a significant time of work helping to care for Jeremy.

Your generous contributions will go towards covering Jeremy's medical expenses, including surgical costs, treatments, and post-operative care. Additionally, your support will provide much-needed relief for Jeremy and his family during this difficult time, allowing them to focus on what truly matters - Jeremy's health and well-being.
