Support Jess Boynton through cancer treatment

Hello there!
I was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma. The past three weeks has been a whirlwind of doctors appointments, scans, biopsies, etc. We have now gotten to the point where we are fairly clear on what we're dealing with - a metastatic melanoma lesion on the bottom left lobe of my lung, as well as a large metastatic melanoma mass on my left thigh. Because of a less common gene mutation in my melanoma, the therapies offered are more limited, but will include combined immunotherapies.
We are raising funds to help offset the cost of driving to and from Dartmouth, Dana Farber, and other satellite appointments in between. During the main portion of treatment I am hoping to take off work to focus solely on my health and family, so funds may be used to pay for bills that are difficult to manage, or additional medical costs that will come from out of pocket.
In addition to allopathic or traditional treatment, I am seeking support though reiki sessions, homeopathic remedies, and integrative medicine, none of which are covered by insurance. I am seeking these out because statistically, melanoma treatment is progressing but is still fairly new and I want to approach my health, as well as pushing this cancer out, from multiple angles. The stronger my energy, constitution, and mental state, the better I will hold up to immunotherapy and processing all of the information coming my way.
I am a mother of two young boys (Daniel and Reed) and a wife to an amazing man, Dan. I teach science to adjudicated youth, and am in love with my job and work community. I run a small sustainable farm with my family growing vegetables, and raising poultry for meat and eggs. I love to be outdoors hiking, biking, exploring, listening, growing, and spending time helping others in my community.
This diagnosis hit me pretty hard and some of the initial tests caused additional pain in my leg, making it difficult to keep up with what I love, and what needs to get done around the house. Any assistance you are willing to provide will help keep our family focused on my healing journey, and will hopefully be a way for us to Pay It Forward when we come out on the other side of this.
My treatment starts in the next few weeks and I am preparing myself for all of the changes to come.
Thank you for reading more about my story, and for supporting us as we move through this new chapter in our lives.
Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart,
Jess and family
