Support Jesse's Fight Against Rare Leukemia

If you haven’t already heard Jesse was diagnosed with Chronic Eosinophilic Leukemia on January 11 (not a good way to start out the New Year) This type of Leukemia is extremely rare like 1 out of a million! So after being diagnosed here in Hastings aft 2 months of testing we opted to go to the Mayo in Rochester where we were told he needs a Bone Marrow Transplant. His 2 brothers are currently being tested to see if they are a match and if not they will find Jesse a donor off the data base. This all seems so surreal to Jess as he has not been sick (at all) just tired as he is now taking chemo meds in pill form. They seem to be lowering his blood counts so far, counts are still high and not in normal range but they are coming down little by little so that’s a good thing! So for now he just continues w the chemo pills and we wait until they find a match.. When a match is found and Before the Transplant he will have to under go intense hard core chemotherapy, they pretty much wipe out the entire immmune system down to nothing and replace the cells with the donors.. after the transplant we will have to stay in hotel for the 1st 2mos atleast. I will be staying down there with him as he needs a caregiver 24/7. We have to be 5m from the Mayo for those first couple mos after the transplant.. It’s goin to be a LONG road but we’ll get thru it.
