I’m heartbroken to share that a dear friend of mine, Dale, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident. Dale was a loving father to his 7-year-old son, Wyatt, and an awesome partner to his wife, Jessi. He adored his family, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them.
Dale had a heart full of love, but he was also known for his humor. He was always telling funny jokes that could light up any room, and his infectious laugh made everyone around him smile. One of his favorite things in the world was Jessi’s cooking — he would always rave about her meals and jokingly insist that she could open a restaurant.
Dale was an amazing father to Wyatt, who will be turning 8 this month. He was Wyatt’s biggest fan and always made sure to spend quality time with him. Whether they were playing games, working on projects outside on the bikes, or just talking about life, Dale’s bond with Wyatt was deep and special. Wyatt looked up to him so much, and Dale was always there to offer his love and support. It’s so painful to know that Wyatt will now have to grow up without his dad by his side.
Dale had three beloved German Shepherd dogs — Lou, Max, and Charlie — who were a huge part of his life and will miss him dearly, just like the rest of us. He will now be reunited with Bruno and Sookie above.
Dale had a deep passion for motorcycles and bikes. He loved working on them, tinkering with the mechanics, and keeping everything in top shape. Riding was something that brought him joy, and he was always careful and responsible on the road. His friends, a close-knit group who shared the same passion, were always there to support him, whether it was on a ride or helping with repairs. He was proud of his bikes, but safety was always his top priority to get home to Wyatt and Jessi.
Whenever anyone needed help, Dale was there without hesitation, always ready to lend a hand, no matter the time or the task. I’m just the quirky neighbor across the street who became friends with Dale, and I’ll forever cherish the moments I got to know him for the years I was in Katy. It’s hard to express how much of an impact he had on me and everyone around him. We have set up this GoFundMe to help cover expenses and support Jessi and Wyatt that will go directly to Jessi. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. Thank you all for your kindness, love, and support. Dale will always be remembered for his laughter, generosity, and the incredible love he shared with his family and friends.
Additionally - I am reaching out too in hopes of finding anyone who was near Living Spaces in Katy, next to Katy Mills Mall, on Monday, March 31. If you were in the area between 5:25 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., or possibly even around 6:00 p.m., and may have witnessed anything, please contact me. Any information would be greatly appreciated during this incredibly difficult time. We are also now aware not that their were two riders who came up behind him prior, looked and left him there alone. They fled the scene prior to law enforcement showing up.
