Support Jessica Johnson's Battle with Cancer

We are reaching out to friends, family, community, and the world in hopes of raising money to help a special young woman, Jessica Johnson (aka: Jessica Lawrence, Jessica Hare) and her family during a medical crisis. I am asking for your help.

Jessica is currently fighting her second battle with breast cancer. This round is a more aggressive and serious type of breast cancer classified as Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer, requiring her to explore treatment beyond the traditional chemotherapy. Her body can no longer withstand chemotherapy.

Jessica is the Visitor Center Manager with the City of Flagstaff, Arizona, where she welcomes visitors from all over the world and continually works with her team to put together community events that give back to local nonprofits. Jessica is a native of Flagstaff, Arizona, and is passionate about the community. Jessica is active in Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance, Boy Scouts, and other organizations throughout Arizona. Jessica is a mother of a 12-year-old son, stepmother of 4, daughter, and wife. She is part of a military family; her husband is a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and they currently have a son deployed overseas with the U.S. Army.

Even with health insurance, the family is facing astronomical expenses, much of which health insurance will not pay or will only pay for a short period of time. Jessica has been prescribed a medication she will need to take monthly during her treatments (which can last up to 5 years). The family is facing out-of-pocket costs of $5,800.00 per month just for this medication! Insurance will only cover the cost for 6 months. There is not a generic form of the drug.

Jessica is receiving treatments at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. Besides the $5,800.00 monthly cost for medication, there is also the cost of travel, overnight stays, over-the-counter medicine, co-pays, and dietary expenses!

As you can imagine, the family really needs financial help. Jessica holds a special place in our hearts. She is a wonderful person. I sincerely hope you will find compassion and help us, help her. Any amount you are able to donate cannot be too large or too small.
