Help The Norton Family Relocate

My name is Kristen Ferretti, and I’m reaching out to you during an incredibly difficult time for the Norton family. Recently, Jessica Norton was suspended from her job because she "allowed" her transgender daughter to participate in school sports in Broward County. This situation has not only been devastating for her family emotionally but has also put them in an urgent financial crisis, as they now need to relocate to a community where their daughter can be safe, accepted, and free to be herself.

This suspension came after a series of incidents in which Jessica's daughter faced discrimination simply for being who she is. The school district's decision has made it clear that The Norton's are no longer welcome here, even school board members have misgendered her and posted on Facebook demeaning her and now the family must find a place where their daughter can live without fear and continue to pursue her passions, including her love for sports, without prejudice.

The costs of relocating are overwhelming. The Norton's need to cover moving expenses, secure new housing, and ensure that their daughter has a supportive school environment where she can continue to thrive academically and socially. I am turning to the kindness and generosity of our community to help this family through this incredibly challenging time. After all that Jessica has done for the community over the last 14 years, I feel we should all pitch in to help.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. It will help them do the necessary things that need to be done to fix and sell their current house, any excess money will be put into a college account for their daughter's future. Your support will help The Norton family find a new home where their daughter can grow up with the dignity, respect, and opportunities that every child deserves.
