Help Jessica Fight Esophageal Cancer

On Friday, November 15th, Jessica received devastating news: after months of persistent symptoms, countless doctor’s appointments, new medications, and overwhelming anxiety, she was diagnosed with a tumor on her esophagus.

A week later, Jessica’s worst fears were confirmed—she has Adenocarcinoma, Esophageal Cancer. While the stage of her cancer is still unclear, doctors have determined that the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes, making it inoperable at this time.

The medical team has recommended starting chemotherapy immediately, followed by radiation, to target the affected lymph nodes. However, we’ve been told there is only a 1% chance that these treatments will successfully shrink the cancer enough to make surgery possible. Despite the odds, we are holding onto hope and praying that Jessica falls within that 1%.

This diagnosis has shaken Jessica, her husband Zach, and everyone who loves her to the core. She has been unable to work for weeks due to her illness and is struggling to manage the emotional and financial weight of this battle. One of Jessica’s first concerns was, “How am I going to afford my bills, let alone the medical expenses ahead?”

That’s why we’ve started this GoFundMe: to help Jessica focus on what matters most—getting stronger and fighting this cancer. We want to ease her financial burden, alleviate her stress, and show her that she is surrounded by love and support.
