Support Jessica's Colon Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Andrew and Jessica are sorry to share that Jessica has been diagnosed with colon cancer. As many of you know, Jess has been fighting Crohn's disease since she was 6 years old. It has been a constant and difficult battle with this "invisible illness." It is a battle that she has fought with strength and grace, never losing her heart for others. Unfortunately, her journey has included frequent physical pain, interruption of regular life, and multiple hospital stays.

After two hospital stays in October and November of 2023, they scheduled an updated colonoscopy for January 8, 2024. After this colonoscopy, they received the results showing 3 areas of cancer in her large intestine. After receiving this news, they quickly met with a colorectal surgeon at Emory and scheduled surgery. Jess will be having her colon surgically removed on February 2, 2024. This will be followed by a week-or-so-long hospital stay and a 6-8 week recovery period. At this time, they are preparing for the potential of undergoing chemotherapy, but are hopeful this can be avoided since they caught this cancer early.

Jessica and Andrew were unsure about doing a GoFundMe, but they have had such an outpouring of love and people asking for ways to support them. They appreciate any support - even just a simple text message means a lot to them.

They do have medical bills from two hospital visits last year that they are still paying off, and they will have to pay for what insurance doesn’t cover for the surgery and recovery in the hospital in February.

Andrew works for a non-profit, and Jessica owns her own marketing business. During this time, Jessica cannot physically run her business and they are missing all of her income.

If Jessica has touched your life in a positive way, we ask you to consider a small financial gift that will fully go toward her medical care.
