Support Jessica's Family in Her Final Moments

In 2022 my mother, Jessica Escobar, was detected with vulvar cancer. That is when she started fighting her battle against cancer. She started with various sessions of radiation and then surgery. She was cancer free for only a few months before it came back. She then started fighting the advanced cancer with chemotherapy. When that wasn't effective, she was referred to UCLA for a trial immunotherapy. After a few months into this treatment, she was taken of the trial because the cancer kept spreading - to her lungs and bones. She was then placed on chemotherapy again. As she continued fighting, the cancer unfortunately advanced more and more causing her to end up in the hospital various times.

On October 21, 2024 my mother decided she was done fighting and wanted to be at peace and comfortable. Since the cancer was so advanced and the chemotherapy was only maintaining the cancer and not curing it she then decided on hospice (specialized care that provides physical comfort and emotional, social and spiritual support for people nearing the end of life). My mom's health is declining and her time with us is very limited. My hope is that with this fundraiser we can take some additional stress off of our family as we cherish her final moments with us.

We are actively preparing for the immediate future, so we decided to start this fundraiser to assist us with her future funeral cost.
