Support Jessie and His Mom Through Loss

Hello, my name is Jessie Truitt, and on behalf of my mother, I am reaching out for support during one of the hardest times of my life. On Christmas Eve, my step-father, Richard Tucker Sr, passed away suddenly, leaving us in shock and grief. As you can imagine, this unexpected loss has left our family heartbroken and struggling to manage both emotional and financial burdens.

In addition to the overwhelming grief, we are facing significant financial challenges. The cost of his cremation is $900, and unfortunately, with the strain of bills, rent and keeping food on the table, we are unable to cover this expense on our own. This is why we asking for your help.

My dad was a passionate baseball fan, always collecting Kansas City Royals memorabilia and never missing a game. He had a true love for the sport, and the joy he got from watching games or adding a new piece to his collection was infectious. He also loved spending his free time fishing, when he was younger. It’s incredibly sad to know we won’t get to see him experience those simple pleasures anymore. His love for these things was a big part of who he was, and we’ll miss seeing him light up when he talked about his favorite players or shared his fishing stories.

My dad meant the world to us. He was always there for us, and losing him has left an enormous hole in our hearts. As we navigate this difficult time, we're also trying to ensure that we can meet the basic needs of our household, which makes it challenging to find the resources to properly honor my dad's memory.
