We urgently seek your support for Jillian Kerry, a Board of Trustee member and candidate for Scio Township Supervisor, who must defend herself against unjust charges just before the pivotal August 6th primary.

Jillian Kerry has been a beacon of integrity in Scio Township, known for her tireless work on behalf of residents. As a dedicated member of the Scio Township Board of Trustees, Jillian has championed transparency, rooted out waste, fraud, and abuse, and fought for the rights of ordinary citizens. Her unwavering commitment has unsettled entrenched interests, prompting a smear campaign designed to derail her bid for Supervisor.

In November 2023, Jillian was baselessly accused of wrongdoing, following an incident when, unknown to Jillian, an email and meeting invite were sent from an email account accessible to the public on a Township laptop. While performing her elected duties as Trustee and Chair of the Road Advisory Committee, she attempted to start Zoom on a shared public laptop so Township citizens could participate in a Road Advisory Committee meeting. When she went to login to her account to retrieve the Zoom email, unbeknownst to her, a Township official’s email account had been left logged in and opened up forwarding an email and invite from his outbox. This situation was quickly rectified and explained by others present to the affected official the next day. The matter was not addressed internally. Instead, Jillian was accused of wrongdoing.

At 57 years old, Jillian Kerry is a loving mother and grandmother with a spotless record of community service. She has never been in trouble with the law. Despite the distraction and stress of these unfounded accusations, Jillian remains steadfast in her commitment to serving Scio Township.

On June 21, 2024, Jillian appeared before a judge with a public defender because she doesn't have the resources to hire an attorney. However, after word was spread about this atrocity, a highly qualified pair of former Federal prosecutors offered her legal representation at a reduced fee. Even with reduced fees, Jillian still cannot afford to retain the attorneys and fight the charges without your generous contribution.

Your generosity will help fund Jillian’s legal defense, ensuring she can continue her campaign and serve the community without distraction.
