Support Jim Landry's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Please help to make a difference in the life of James Landry a true American hero who suffered a tragic medical emergency leaving the American Legion where he is a lifetime member on Thursday April 18, 2024. Air Force veteran and retired 35-year Andover Massachusetts fire fighter Jim Landry had a medical emergency and lost consciousness he fell hard hitting his head which caused a massive traumatic brain injury. He was transported to Bridgeton hospital and immediately med flighted to Portland Maine where he is currently in critical condition at Maine Medical's ICU. Jim will have a long road to recovery ahead as he will need to undergo 2 additional brain surgeries and so much rehabilitation in addition to the emergency surgery that just recently saved his life. His wife Patricia Valentine Landry, a career registered nurse, 2 sons Jimmy Landry and Brian Landry who currently save lives as fire fighters in Massachusetts and his loving daughter Valerie Wells are doing the very best they can to stay positive at this time and be there for Jim's 5 grandchildren and many friends who are devastated by the awful reality of their loved one's current condition. Jim has always been there for his family and friends and as the saying goes would truly give a stranger the shirt off his back to help in any way he can.
He is just one of those guys who would do anything to help others and want nothing in return! His family now needs help with medical bills and expenses relating to his treatment and recovery ahead. Jim's wife Patricia is scheduled for a total hip replacement soon and with expenses mounting is completely overwhelmed with pain, sadness, uncertainty and fear regarding many aspects of both of their upcoming combined healthcare needs and the financial hardship ahead. Patricia will now be out of work for the foreseeable future and does not know how they are going to make ends meet? Their home in Casco Maine will need accessibility improvements such as railings, a ramp and fall prevention devices just to name a few. With travel and meal expenses mounting in addition to non-covered healthcare expenses they need help from those of us who can make a difference in the lives of these loving people who have been helping others their whole lives. It is times like these that Go Fund Me was designed for. As a career firefighter and nurse Jim and Patty, as everyone who knows them affectionately calls them, have dedicated their entire lives to assisting strangers and everyday people survive and recover from life's adversities.
Whether Jim is running into a burning building to rescue any and all who need help or Patty is administering lifesaving assistance or just sitting bedside listening to a patient talk about their family it is time to help make a difference in their lives by giving whatever you can to help two of the most selfless people we as a society have been blessed to have with us in this life.
Thank you greatly in advance for your
