Please Help with Jim Mead's Unexpected Funeral Services

Jim Mead was an amazing dad, the best friend anyone could ask for, a stand-up brother, a dedicated police officer, and an outstanding EVOC instructor. It's heartbreaking to share that my best friend unexpectedly passed away last Friday, August 23, 2024, from a heart attack while doing what he loved, working on his Chevrolet Caprice Classic. There are no words to express the depth of loss his family is feeling right now. In just two weeks, he was supposed to walk his beautiful daughter Aubrie down the aisle. He was really looking forward to their father/daughter dance and playing the song they had picked together. No matter what he's up to, if they give him a call, he was always there for them! That is the daddy he was......
Jim was an amazing police officer for over 32 years with the Monrovia Police Department, and he spent a whopping 23 years as their Motor Officer. Many folks believe he's the most famous Motor Officer in the San Gabriel Valley. For more than 12 years, Jim shared his expertise by teaching Emergency Vehicle Operations, Traffic Collision Investigations, and RADAR/LIDAR to police cadets and in Advanced Officer Training at the Rio Hondo Police Academy. He was always there for his students, rain or shine, starting at 5 AM and not leaving until 10 PM, just to help a cadet pass EVOC training and graduate. This is just one of the many inspiring stories that showcase his dedication to his students.
Jim retired three years ago, and he's been loving life ever since! He spent his days riding his motorcycle, tinkering with cars, and cherishing every moment with his kids - Aubrie, Jimmy, and Elias.
With Jim's death being so unexpected and him putting every dollar into the up coming wedding, we are asking for any assistance you can provide to lay our Brother/Father to rest.
