Support Jim Whitehead's Leukemia Battle
Donation protected
My uncle Jim Whitehead fell down stairs a few weeks ago and broke his hip and had to have hip replacement. During this time they had to give him several pints of blood. He finally went home and my aunt Beckie Whitehead got sick with pneumonia and had to go to the hospital. She was worrried about him being home alone and she left the hospital early and died in her sleep the following Saturday. He had Dr’s appointment to see why he was losing blood. He received a call this morning telling him that he has leukemia and without treatment he has weeks, maybe months to live, If left untreated. He has not had time to grieve Aunt Beckie’s passing. He will be coming to Memphis for treatment Monday and they are going to give him the strongest dose of Chemo for 7-10 days of which he will have to stay in the hospital 3-4 weeks for monitoring. His son Steven Whitehead & his wife Mary Jane are basically the only family he has left to help care for him. Steven has had to miss a lot of work over the past month, & will have to miss a lot more, so any donations would help.
