Support Hurricane Recovery for Carousel Motel

My name is Michaela and my wonderful mom, Jitka, is the owner of the Carousel Motel

in Redington Shores, FL. She is a single widow who does every little thing for her motel by

herself, including cleaning the rooms, bookings, check-ins, maintenance, repairs, and so much

more. She is the most hardworking and kind person I have ever known.

I watched my mom pour her heart and soul into her motel for most of my life and on

September 26th, I helplessly witnessed her suffer the unimaginable devastation brought on by

Hurricane Helene. All her hard work was swept away within minutes. The entire property was

flooded. Literally everything was destroyed: the furniture, floors, appliances, walls,

cabinets…everything…gone.

As of today, she has used most of her savings to try and rebuild everything but since the

insurance is still pending and she is not sure how much or when they will be able to compensate her for her loss, we are asking for help to buy the necessary furnishings to be able to hopefully re-open in January. Every little bit helps.

Even after both hurricanes have ruined everything my mom has accomplished, it still

took some convincing for her to allow me to create this GoFundMe page and I want to say thank
