Support Jodi Williams' Recovery from Flood
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Like many residents of Oxford, my mother, Jodi Williams, has been deeply affected by the flash flooding that struck yesterday, August 18th. In an instant, her car and the surrounding areas were engulfed in water, leaving her trapped on the second floor of her home.
Thankfully, the Beacon Hose Company was there just in time. They courageously used their ladder truck to rescue her and her beloved dog, Gus, from the raging waters below.
While the most important thing is that she is safe, the future of her home and all her belongings remains uncertain. Her car was swept away in the flood and has yet to be found. It is entirely unclear that she will be allowed back into her home.
She raised me in Beacon Falls, she’s lived in Oxford her entire life, this will always be home.
I’m sharing this in hopes that it reaches compassionate hearts who might be able to support her during this difficult time as she navigates her loss and begins the process of rebuilding her life. Thank you for any help you can offer.
