Help Our Family Business After the Eaton Fire
My dad, Joe Grueter, a lifelong resident & general contractor in the San Gabriel Valley lost his business (established 1982) in the Eaton Fire. My dad has dedicated his life to building/preserving the history of our community's homes & landmarks for 40+ years. He has helped people turn their houses into homes, room additions for growing families, families needing ADU's to bring loved ones closer, & preservation efforts to help save the architectural integrity of historic homes & prominent local landmarks.
In an instant, decades of his tools, equipment, family heirlooms from Switzerland, & his shop dog Maya were lost. Our hearts are heavy not just for our personal loss but the loss of jobs for Grueter Construction employees; some who have been with him throughout much of his time in business. These employees not only lost their jobs through our business but have also lost their homes.
My dad lived & breathed his company, our whole family grew up in the back of his truck. The lumber yard was our equivalent to the park. This business wasn’t just his livelihood; it was his way of life & his way of giving back to a community he loves so much. Now, he’s determined to help rebuild the neighborhoods, but he can’t do it alone. We are asking for help so he can jump back as quickly as possible & help his employees & our neighborhoods in the best way he knows how. Build our homes.
Every contribution brings us closer to our goal of being able to support rebuilding our neighborhoods.
Thank you for your support & your belief in my dad’s mission.
With heavy hearts & gratitude,
The Grueter Construction Family
