Support Joe & Kay Cannata
Joe and Kay Cannata have spent their lives as pillars of the community, dedicating their time and energy to advocating for victims of violent crimes. In 2007, they founded their nonprofit, Voices of Victims, and for over 15 years, they have worked tirelessly to support those who have suffered unimaginable trauma. They have always been the voice for those who needed one most, fighting for justice and making the world a better place. Now, they find themselves in need of the same compassion and support they have so selflessly given to others.
A Devastating Health Crisis
In October, Kay fell seriously ill after battling a lingering cold. She was admitted to the hospital with sepsis, fighting for her life for weeks. After a long and difficult hospital stay, she was finally able to return home—but in a fragile state, requiring 24-hour care.
As Kay continued her recovery, Joe—her rock and caregiver—was also hospitalized. He too was diagnosed with sepsis and suffered multiple strokes. Now, Joe is in a rehabilitation center, working daily with occupational therapists to regain his strength, mobility, and speech.
The Cost of Care is Overwhelming
Kay remains at home, requiring constant medical care, while Joe fights to regain his independence. The mounting medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and 24-hour nursing care have placed an unbearable financial burden on them.
These two remarkable individuals, who have spent their lives helping others, now need our help.
How You Can Make a Difference
We are asking for your support to help cover the costs of their ongoing care and medical expenses. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward:
24-hour in-home nursing care for Kay
Rehabilitation and medical expenses for Joe
Household and living expenses during their recovery
Joe and Kay have given so much to the community—now it's our turn to give back. Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with others who may want to help.
Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean the world to them and their family.
Thank you for your support!
