Support Joe Miraya's Path to USATF U20 Outdoor Championships

Donation protected
Meet Joseph Miraya — a dedicated student-athlete whose heart for God, relentless work ethic, and passion for throwing have shaped his journey.

Joe is a senior at Mountain View High School in Meridian, Idaho, and has spent years building not only his strength and skill as a nationally ranked thrower but also his character, discipline, and faith. Through countless hours of training, early mornings, late nights, and daily choices to prioritize his goals, Joe has earned incredible achievements — qualifying for U-20 Nationals, holding the Idaho state record in the weight throw, and currently ranking #1 in the state for both shot put and discus.

More importantly, Joe leads by example—trusting God with every step of the process, persevering through challenges, and giving Him the glory in every victory and lesson.

This summer, Joe has the incredible opportunity to compete at the 2025 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships—the national meet for American athletes under 20 years old, and a key step toward representing Team USA at the World Championships. As part of this next chapter, Joe will transition to heavier implements: throwing a 13.4 lb. shot put and a 1.75 kg discus, compared to the 12 lb. and 1.6 kg implements used in high school.

To prepare, Joe will travel to Ironwood Throwers Center in Rathdrum, Idaho, shortly after graduation, where he’ll spend two weeks training under top coaches to adjust his technique and strength. Following his training, Joe will head to Eugene, Oregon to compete at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships held at one of the most prestigious track venues in the country. Altogether, Joe will be traveling for about three weeks across two states for training and competition.

This journey comes with expenses—including travel, lodging, coaching, competition fees, and specialized training—that are critical to giving Joe the best opportunity to succeed at the next level. In addition to covering his travel and competition costs this summer, any extra funds raised will be applied to help support Joe’s continued training as he transitions to heavier implements to compete collegiately for Weber State University this fall.

We would be honored to have you be part of Joe’s journey. Your prayers, encouragement, and support not only help ease the financial burden but also remind Joe that he’s surrounded by a village cheering him on every step of the way.

Every throw, every step, every prayer — thank you for being part of Joe’s story. We are incredibly grateful!
