Thank you for all your prayers and your financial support.
This has turned our lives upside down. He was only 37 years old.
He is survived by his wife two sons that are in the Army and a 14 year old daughter and a daughter-in-law and has a grandchild on the way. Josh and his wife and daughter moved to Virginia. He worked for the Veterans administration in the benefits department as the youngest coach the Veterans Administration ever had. Josh helped a lot of Veterans get their benefits it was his mission in life.
We never thought that something like this could happen to him.
He is now in the presence of God and with his son Jeremiah.

Help Joel and Suzanne Be with Their Son Josh During His Critical Fight for Life
Hi everyone,
I’m writing with an urgent request for support and prayers for my Cousin Josh Sims Parents. Josh was involved in a devastating car accident in Virginia, and his condition is critical. Every day has brought new challenges, and we need your help to support his parents, Joel and Susan Sims, during this incredibly difficult time.
Josh has faced multiple, life-threatening complications since the accident. Doctors had to remove a large portion of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain, and while this initially helped, his condition has worsened. He has also suffered a stroke behind the sinus vein, which has caused further swelling and increased pressure. The doctors are now considering removing the right side of his skull as a last resort to buy more time.
His medical team has shared that Josh is currently the sickest patient in the hospital. They are monitoring him closely, but it will be several days before they know whether these interventions will be enough. In the meantime, his parents, Joel and Suzanne, are doing everything they can to be by his side. However, due to financial constraints, they were forced to return home to Enterprise, Alabama, and are now struggling to get back to Virginia.
Our family is coming together to raise the funds needed to help Joel and Suzanne return to Josh’s side. No parent should have to make decisions about their child’s care while also worrying about how they can afford to be there.
Your donations will help with:
• Travel costs for Joel and Suzanne to return to Virginia
• Lodging, meals, and transportation while they remain near the hospital
• Any unexpected expenses they encounter as they stay with Josh during this critical time
Josh is a military veteran with a loving family who needs him. We are praying for a miracle, and your generosity can help make sure Joel and Susan are with him every step of the way.
Even if you can’t donate, we ask for your prayers and your help in sharing this message. Please join us in praying for Josh and calling his name out during prayer. Our family believes in the power of prayer and know that God hears us.
Isaiah 43:1 gives us hope:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.”
Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to our family and give my Uncle Joel and Aunt Suzanne the strength to keep going.
Thank you!!
