Support Joel Russo's Recovery Journey

As you guys know, we're like a second family with our old bridge pickleball crew. What you may not have heard much about is that one of our own, Joel Russo, Bonnie's husband and one of the most giving guys you could hope to meet, had a bad seizure about a month ago.

He had a seizure and was unresponsive in critical condition on a ventilator for about half a week and they were not sure if he would regain use on his left side if he did recover. Luckily he did just that and recovered nicely and left the hospital after a little over a week.

Unfortunately things like that do take their effect going forward. He was diagnosed with a seizure disorder called Focal Epilepsy. He is having side effects to new medication and the seizure ultimately affects his activities of daily living, even more so fulfilling essential functions at work. He will be unable to work for at least 60 to 90 days, very potentially more, and he does not qualify for temporary disability since he is a federal worker which standards are much different than for state workers.

As you know, we're all about helping our extended family out. Bonnie and Joel are a huge part of that family so we want to do what we can to help them in their time of need.

everyone is invited to join us Saturday June 22nd we will be having a pickle ball fundraiser for Joel $20 to enter. Partners randomly assigned every round. It will be at Mannino from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I'll be talking to Gabe, Artie, and more to set up sponsors, 50/50, and much more! We wanna get the word out as well to make sure this is huge turnout. Hope you can join us and participate in what should be an amazing day!
