Support Joe’s (Debrena’s husband) Prostate Cancer Treatment & Recovery
Hello, our names are Karimah, Jolyn and Danielle and we are the mentees of Debrena, Joe’s loving wife. Today, we are coming together as a community to ask for your support in helping Joe, Debrena, and their family during this challenging time.
Joe has been diagnosed with moderately aggressive prostate cancer, but thankfully, it was caught early before spreading to his bones or lymph nodes. It’s treatable, and we believe it’s beatable. With the right treatment plan, Joe has a strong chance of recovery, but he and his family need our help to get there.
What Your Support Will Cover:
- Joe will undergo prostate cancer treatment followed by several months of recovery
- Additionally, he will embark on a nine-month program of herbs and nutrition to support his recovery and give him the best possible outcome.
- While insurance will cover some costs, many critical treatments and expenses are not covered.
The funds raised will also go directly toward covering the following expenses:
- To cover select household expenses for the first 5 months of Joe's recovery (both Joe and Debrena are self-employed), to cover impact on revenues as they shift some attention away from their respective businesses and to Joe’s treatment, healing and recovery
- Herbal and nutritional supplements to aid in recovery (9-month program)
- Out-of-pocket medical costs not covered by insurance
