Support John After Betty's Tragic Loss
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of our matriarch. This is Nikki, daughter of Betty Wortman.
Friday morning I was in court and didn't have cell phone access. When I got out of court at 10:22am, checked my call log, & 5 missed calls in a row. Sometimes Mom gets a little excited and will call multiple times.
When the other line picks up I can barely understand what Dad is saying. Between loud sobs and cries, I know something is terribly wrong. I'm kinda in disbelief and ask where is Mom? And he says she in bed so I think ok, maybe she's not gone. She's ok. She's laying in bed.
But again, between wails coming from my father who is absolutely beside himself, his soul mate and best friend was gone.
He can barely makes the words out that pastor is there and wants to talk to me.
My parents a/c went out and the coroner said it was 112° degrees in the home.
My father asked her to go to a hotel and because she knew they didn't really have the funds being on a tight budget she said they can just wait till tomorrow, the repair man was going to be there Friday.
Well Mom and one of their dogs Sissy didn't make it.
They always say to check on your elderly family members and neighbors.
I am asking if you could please help donate to my father during this difficult time.
All of this could have been avoided and
I want my father to feel the love of the community with prayers and thoughts as well. His name is John and his best friend my mom is Betty.
Thank you
