Support John and Fred: Be There for Marion

I’m sending out a heartfelt message on behalf of John and Fred Fraleigh. Their beautiful mother, Marion, has been going through a tough patch lately, having had multiple strokes over the past three months. Her health took a significant dip this week, and just yesterday, she made the brave decision to enter home hospice care. In these challenging times, her sons want to be there for her, providing the warmth and love she's always given them.

Here's the catch – both John and Fred live quite a distance away from Milwaukee, which makes it rather challenging for them to be with their mom when she needs them the most. Both of their jobs are unconventional, leaving them without the assistance of paid time off and family emergency leave time. But where there’s a will, there’s a way. They're not in dire straits, but we all know how the combination of flight expenses, rental cars, and missed work hours certainly adds up quickly, and their financial situations could change at the flip of a switch.

Now, Marion, John, and Fred would never want to put anyone in a tight spot or make anyone go into debt to help them. This is a friendly ask, really. I’m reaching out to friends and family who are financially comfortable, those who might have some spare flight credits, rental car discounts, hotel vouchers, or maybe a little extra cash to chip in. The main goal is simple: to help John and Fred visit their mom more often without feeling the additional stress of the financial burden.

John and Fred want Marion to know that they can be there for her without any money worries and that friends and well-wishers are stepping in to make it possible. This certainly is not a cry for immediate help; it's more of a friendly call for assistance from those who can lend a hand.

Anyone who knows Marion, John, and/or Fred knows how incredibly selfless they all are and how immensely grateful they would be for any support they receive. Now that the tables have turned, it’s time to help them out. Whether it's a little or a lot, every bit will count. The aim is to raise $8,000, which should cover the flights, rental cars, and the income they'll miss in order to spend this incredibly important quality time together.
