Deirdre Caryl Dunham (Motley)
September 27, 1968 – December 6, 2024
Deirdre Caryl Dunham, of Cedar Creek, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 56. Born on September 27, 1968, in Kermit, Texas, Deirdre was the daughter of Lana Motley (Webster) and Robert Motley, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Dunham; her son, Brandon Dunham; and her cherished grandsons, Tolliver and Jasper Dunham. Deirdre’s sister, Amie Simmons (Motley), also survives her, along with her aunt, Linda Young (Webster); her mother-in-law, Sharon Dunham (Louderback); her sister-in-law, Jennifer Dunham; her stepmother, Sharon Tuck-Motley; and close friends in faith, Jesse and Clara Machado. She is also remembered fondly by many cousins, family, and friends.
Deirdre was well known for her deep care and love for others. From an early age, she dreamed of becoming a nurse. After many dedicated years working as a CNA, she fulfilled that dream in her 30s by becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her passion and commitment led her to advance further, ultimately serving in Nursing Home Administration for over a decade.
She had a unique gift for making people feel heard, appreciated, and uplifted in their faith. Her life was a testament to her steadfast love for Jesus and her dedication to encouraging others to trust in God’s will.
A memorial service to celebrate Deirdre’s life and faith will be held in the new year. Details will be announced at a later date.
