Hello, I am Patricia, John's Fierro's sister.
I am raising funds for my brother.
It was on March 15th, 2024 that John tripped over a loose wire from the ground air conditioner at work and fell on the gravel that is part of the walkway.
He had cuts and bruises on his knees, shins and feet. He kept on working after that. He was afraid to be fired if he missed work. As it turns out, due to the fall, he suffered an infection on his left foot. He went to the emergency at Las Palmas. He was told that he had a fever and was Septic, because of the infection. Based on the cuts on his foot, they had to amputate two toes in order to stop the spread of the infection. He was transferred to Providence because it was decided that they had to amputate below the knee, because the infection was spreading. He had a stroke during surgery as well. John was at Providence for three weeks. He was unresponsive for a few days and finally came out of it. He was admitted to Las Palmas Rehabilitation Hospital for three weeks of rehabilitation.
He was discharged on 6/17/24. Since he is still in great need of cognitive and physical rehabilitation, he was admitted to a physical therapy hospital that includes cognitive therapy for his stroke, physical therapy for his leg, and occupational therapy.
Since John isn't able to work, he has rent and bills to pay. He used the last of his funds for the month of June to pay his rent and utilities. He has an abundance of medical bills. This situation is nonstop and just keeps on going.
We would appreciate any assistance to help my brother through this ordeal. Any amount that you are willing to share is greatly appreciated. These are difficult times for many of us. If you aren't able to contribute any amount at this time, sharing with your friends and family would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all and take care.
