Update- John passed away and finished his journey to Heaven yesterday, 5/29/24.

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to share the story of our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Father, and Grandpa, John Lunsford, Eureka, IL (age 57). Two weeks ago, John was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer that has spread to multiple organs. John is a father of three and cherished grandpa of two grandchildren. He is a friend to many and a pillar of strength to the family, touching countless lives with his humor, friendship, and unwavering support.

Why We Need Your Help

The emotional and financial strain of ongoing around-the-clock care and preparations for end-of-life care is overwhelming. John always lived modestly, working hard and running his own drywall business. He worked hard daily to make ends meet but often lived below the poverty level. He never asked for help but was the first to help others. Unfortunately, he does not have life insurance, and the children’s financial situation makes it difficult to manage the overwhelming costs associated with his memorial expenses.
