Support John Pavlovitz's Brain Tumor Surgery

To know John Pavlovitz is to love him. Although, with his quick humor and dad jokes I'm sure he would say "depends on who you ask".

John has inspired and helped the lives of many with his words, his heart and his actions. And despite having a number of things tossed at him, his faith has remained impenetrable.

A month ago after a series of blood tests and brain scans John was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor at the base of his brain. The tumor is most likely benign, but it needs to be removed because of the problems it has been causing for him.

His surgery is scheduled for October 1st in Raleigh.

If all goes well, John will be in the ICU for two days and then head home for recovery. A recovery that could be anywhere from a month to several months depending on how surgery goes and how his body responds. Despite having a high deductible, John and his wife are facing $25,000 worth of expenses to cover pre-op tests, surgery, hospital stay, and post-op visits through December.

If John has done one thing in his life, it' make a positive impact. He's done this by leading the charge in what it means to be a compassionate, loving human being. So naturally, many people have asked for ways to help John and his family during this time and I can't think of a better way than to help offset some of the astronomical medical costs and his recovery time.
